Greg Howes (born June 6th, 1968) is a two-term Selectman from the town of Concord, MA and current Republican candidate for the 3rd Middlesex State Senate seat in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The 3rd Middlesex District includes the towns of: Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Chelmsford, Lincoln, , , Weston, & Waltham. Howes was born in Acton. He lives in Concord with his wife and 3 kids. Education Howes graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School as President of his Senior Class in 1986. He went on to attend Providence College, where he served as President of his Freshman class, and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. In 1996, Howes received his Accredited Adviser in Insurance designation, and in 2006 he received his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Business After graduating, Howes went on to found the Howes Insurance Group, an Independent Insurance Agency covering personal, auto, home, and business insurance, located in Concord, MA. Civic Service Howes was first elected to the Concord Board of Selectman in 2006, and was re-elected handily in 2009. Prior to that, Howes was elected to the Concord Housing Authority in 2003, and was appointed as a members of the Concord Board of Assessors. In 2005, Howes was elected to the Board of Corporators for Emerson Hospital. 3rd Middlesex Senate Race Howes' platform for the 3rd Middlesex Senate seat revolves around an effort to Balance Beacon Hill, and drive more decisions to the local level. Howes is currently facing fellow Republican Sandi Martinez in a primary battle.
