Goldscholars Model School

The Goldscholars Model School' is a day care, nursery and primary school located at Chief Goke Olarewaju Close Ijegun Lagos State of Nigeria.
Brief History
The Goldscholars Model School started on October 4th, 2011 as Grandscholars Model School. Early in 2012, the Lagos State Ministry of Education approved the change of name to Goldscholars Model School as requested by the Management.
Structure of Grandscholars
The Management
Grandscholars Model School is an initiative of Grandaffairs, a corporate organization specialising in ICT, Publishing and Educational Services . The Chairman of Management is a retired officer of the Nigerian Navy, Commodore SEA Olamilokun, the first commandant of Nigerian Navy Secondary School Abeokuta and the erstwhile Director of Naval Education of the Nigerian Navy. The Proprietress is Mrs Abimbola Mercy Olamilokun who is also the Head of School and holds a Master of Education Degree from the University of Lagos specializing in Educational Administration.
The Secretary of the Management Board is Mr Harold Akintomide Olamilokun a URP Graduate of the University of Lagos.
Administration
The Goldscholars Model School is headed by the Head of School, Mrs AM Olamilokun. She is assisted by the School Administrator. The Ag School Administrator is Mr Olu Adeleke a young graduate of Public Administration. The School has an Academic Officer and an Administrative Officer appointed among the teachers in the school. Other teachers are responsible for the academic and administrative needs of the children in the following classes:
# Kindergarten Classes.
# Nursery Classes.
# UBE 1 Class.
# UBE 2 Class.
# UBE 3 Class.
# UBE 4 Class.
# UBE 5 Class.

The Philosophy of Goldscholars
The Motto of Goldscholars is "Anchoring Early Childhood Development". Every staff and pupil of the school is referred to as a goldscholar. We believe that our children are precious to their parents and are also precious to us, hence the name goldscholar. Our Philosophy is hinged on the following:
