Givensix

Givensix is a band originating in Flint, Michigan.
After forming in 2000, The band soon made their first Ep album titled "Givensix" (2001) and their second Ep "Caliber" in 2003. After recording Caliber, the artists began gaining attention from the media including news articles by the County Line Reminder and air time on Flint's Banana101.5 radio station (WWBN),Detroit's 101.1 WRIF, Lansing, Michigan's WQTX Formerly "The Edge" 92.1, Detroit's CIMX-FM 88.7 89X and several international radio stations. Their first full length album is titled "The Lost Prophecies of Loster Prophets." Radio Play continued to increase with this album, eventually leading to the interest of the world famous producer Ron Saint Germain. St. Germain came from his studio in New Jersey to record tracks such as "Escuela Vieja" at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, MI along with Producer Chuck Alkazian. Their most recent album "Harvest" was released during the summer of 2011. This full length album was recorded with producer Tim Patalan, famous for his work with the bands Taproot and Sponge,, Matt Dalton of 37 Studios , and Ryan Darnell of 3 Thirteen Studios.
All of the music and lyrics are completely written by the band members, with the exception of a metal cover of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" originally performed by Iggy Pop of The Stooges, and "These are a Few of My Deadliest Deeds" a parody of "These are a few of my favorite things."
The band has played with countless national and international bands including Taproot, Sick Puppies, Apocalyptica, Lacuna Coil, Fair to Midland, and many more
The band members include Jamie Taylor (lead singer), Jason Cole (guitar), Eric Cole (Drums and percussion), and Zach Thomas (Bass and backup vocals/screams)
