Fuzzle CMS

Fuzzle CMS is a Flash CMS (Flash content management system) with a visual content management feature that allows users to change website content by visual blocks moving on site pages and ensures site creation in WYSIWYG mode. The system provides tools for easy design integration, office documentation publishing, automated search engine optimization (SEO) support, image galleries creation and MP3 player embedment. Also Fuzzle CMS has an open application programming interface (API) and continuously replenished Widget Store.
History
* Founded in 2009 by Vladislav Janvarev, Fuzzle CMS launched its first stable 2.0 version in March 2009. This version was based on ActionScript 3.0 and has Deep Linking support, PDF publishing and instant design integration features. From the beginning Fuzzle CMS has module architecture that provides its high extensibility in future.
* In August 2009 Fuzzle CMS 2.5 version was released in English and Russian. This version possesses multilingual interface, SEO support feature, open API for third party developers and a number of add-on widgets. Also with 2.5 version comes the possibility to add Google Analytics and other Internet counters to Fuzzle flash sites.
* In August 2009 the 2.6 version of Fuzzle CMS comes with well organized Widget Store consisting of photo galleries and slideshows, MP3 & video players, User Interface elements and 3D model rotators. Fuzzle opens partner program for third party developers, who could make and sell their own widgets since that time.
* On November 21th 2009 Fuzzle presented 3.0 version of its flash CMS with better usability (flash blocks were attached to the grid, block’s size and placement became easily adjustable) and improved site’s preloader.
* In December 2009 Fuzzle signed an agreement with Pho.to website according to which Fuzzle CMS websites obtained entertainment feature - the possibility to make photo collages online from user’s images. Additionally, Fuzzle Team opened a special offer for advertising agencies in the field of promotion: agencies can order developing of custom photo templates for their needs and Fuzzle developers will help to install and adjust the templates.
* On February 14th Fuzzle CMS 3.5 was released with multiple block selection feature, improved loading speed, scalable page design, possibility to set splash screens and gradient background and a number of convenient shortcuts. Since this time Fuzzle CMS obtained Portuguese Brazilian localization.
* At the end of February 2009 Fuzzle became a partner with Pano360 and released its flash templates store with the templates designed for personal sites, online business cards and photo studio websites.
* In March 2010 Fuzzle released 3.6 version with new Menu widgets, an ability to embed Youtube videos into websites and simplified process of any Widget and Menu component development through Fuzzle API.
* August 2010 is the date of 3.7 version release when Fuzzle CMS obtained eCommerce module that made it possible to create and manage an online catalog of products with instant display of changes.
Features
Fuzzle CMS is a multimedia flash CMS with visual site management (WYSIWYG mode) based on ActionScript 3 and realized as Rich Internet Application (RIA) on Flex. Its control panel allows users to design web sites with unlimited number of pages without having special knowledge of Flash programming language.
Fuzzle CMS has separable module architecture, which allows easy CMS extending with new widgets from Fuzzle’s Widget Store. There is a media library where users can upload images, video & MP3 files and use them in any part of the website. Default block types are limited to scrollable text areas, images & image links, flash movies, PDF documents and contact forms. Additionally, one can add a customizable photo gallery, 360° panorama, mp3 button or playlist, various menus and much more using Fuzzle widgets.
By installing a plugged-in gear of HTML pages version autogeneration, an HTML copy will be automatically created for each Flash page, where all the material information can be read and indexed by the search engines. Also, every page of Fuzzle web site has its own URL and Meta data. Fuzzle CMS allows tracking of website statistics with Google Analytics and other Internet counters.
Fuzzle CMS supports multiple languages, which include English, Russian, Portuguese and Brazilian, Flash developers may develop their own add-on widgets and sell them through Fuzzle’s Widget store.
Fuzzle’s instant design integration feature allows integrating page design from a draft (PNG, JPG or SWF format image), decreasing the time oÐ° flash site development.
Ready-made flash site templates are available from Fuzzle's own templates store. Web designers can participate in Fuzzle CMS flash templates creation and have a certain percentage of the profit.
Fuzzle CMS has multiple types of a trial:
* open type for demo-site edition ;
* downloadable version which fully operates in a local device;
* 15 days trial license for any domain name.
Criticism
Preloaders and complicated flash effects can be too heavy for slow computers. While idea of visual flash CMS like Fuzzle CMS seems to be great, some platforms do not support Adobe Flash technology..
