Frankie Zayas and Matt Walters

Frankie Zayas and Matt Walters both attend East Stroudsburg High School South. These two are both notable for playing wide reciever for freshman and junior varisty, and soon to be varsity. Both of them are 5 foot 11 and each weigh between 150-160. "They are both going to have a bright future" says Nate Barksdale, a college football scout. It all started in 8th grade at JT Lambert where Matt and Frankie started playing reciever..
FRESHMAN YEAR
Zayas and Walters' freshman year of football was that start of the dynamic duo. Walters went to the "Z" posiiton (tight-end side) and Zayas went to the "X" position. Walters opened the season with 3 catches for 87 yard as Zayas came away with 2 grabs for 56 yards. By the end of the season, Walters and Zayas combined for 72 catches, 1,864 yards recieving, and 12 touchdowns. It wasn't 'til next season, where they got the attention.
Junior Varisty Year
After a new coaching staff, the two stayed together at the same position. An good early start by Walters opened a lot for Zayas since Walters was doubled covered. Zayas ended up putting up 7 touchdowns, and Walters put up 6. Walters had a Pennsylvania best 18 catches in one game. The two scare defenses, now dropping as many as 6 guys back. The long ball was stopped when teams dropped, but the short game was killing the conor backs, and that's where Zayas and Walters exploded. They still have two more years of high school football, be sure to keep reading about these two.
