Francesco Monterosso

Francesco Monterosso (born 30 September 1990) is a footballer who currently plays for Adelaide United. Club career Francesco came to the attention of Adelaide United scouts after a stellar debut season with SASI in the South Australian state league in which he finished as the leagues top goalscorer. At the beginning of the 2008/2009 Hyundai A-League season Francesco moved from SASI to Adelaide United on a free transfer. He is currently the third highest scorer in the Hyundai A-League Youth League behind Sean Rooney of Newcastle and Chris Grossman of Queensland. As a junior playing with MetroStars Francesco attracted the attention of many high profile European clubs such as Everton and FC Bayern München. |
