Eric Dotten

Eric Thomas Dotten, (born June 02, 1973), is an American Emergency Medical Services National Educator/Paramedic who specializes in Chemical, Biological Emergency Response to terrorism in a post 9-11 society. He became widely known with her role as the Educator using Human Simulation Technology to educate responding Emergency responders in what is coined as the Canary response to Weapons of Mass Destruction WMD. His work has been feature in all networks and multiple publications in magazines.
Early life
Dotten was born in the City of Pittsburgh, the oldest child of Thomas), a Planner Bombambier transportation, and Beverly, a Secretary. Dotten Sister is children Author Hailey Silva known as Comet both of his parents were Methodist.
Early career
At the age of 16, he gained interest in the field of Emergency Medicine while working at Kennywood Amusement Park in West Mifflin PA. Then work as EMT. Firefighter through work study at Edinboro Fire Rescue,While Dotten was attending Edinboro University of Pennsylavania.
Dotten found that he would rather answer emergency calls then be in class and begin lose focus on his degree in Political Science and Pre-law.
Dotten remained active in his college life and was a member of the Edinboro university Student government Assocation.
In 1993, Dotten was was elected to Student Senate and nominated to be a Student member of the board of trustee for edinboro university. Dotten continued his Debating skills that he learned at norwin high School after graduating in 1991 with his National Forensic League degree of distinction and Letter in Football as free safety from Norwin.
Dotten next went on to further his education after Edinboro at the University of Pittsburgh Center for Emergency medicine of Western PA. At the Center Dotten excelled in class and earned is Paramedic. Dotten then entered Military services in PA Nation Guard as a Combat Medic and was sent to FT Sam Houston in May 1996. Dotten earned the most improved Solider Award for the 232 Echo Company tuskers Medics US Army. Dotten provided Peer Tutoring for his fellow soldiers to pass the NREMT exams. Dotten went back to Pittsburgh and took up work at Children Hospital of Pittsburgh. After being certified by the PA DEpt of health took a career change that leads him into being a national educator in Emergency Medical Services. Dotten work as paramedic then as Paramedic Supervisor for Eastern Area Prehospital Services in Pittsburgh PA.Dotten Moon lighted as Educator teaching ACLS, PALS, BCLS, Classes at Allegheny general Shock trauma center and ended up working nights in the ER learning more about Emergency Medicine while
continuing to teach.
Later career (2006-present)

Dotten Left the Pittsburgh area and relocated to Elizabeth city Nc and took a Career with County of Dare as a Paramedic and Air Crew Member with Dare Med flight. In Jan 2007 Dotten Father tom was nearly killed by a Drunk Driver and Dotten strong family values drove him into financial hardship. In Sept 2007 dotten relocated to Largo Fl where he worked as beach paramedic for Sun star Paramedics. Dotten felt strong about be able to teach in June 2008 Dotten relocated to Orlando to Teach for Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation as their Clinical Program Coordinator and began teaching WMD for Canaries for the Emergency responders throughout the State of Florida. This class is credit teaching over 5,000 participants of how to deal with an emergency response to terrorism of a biological or chemical nature. Dotten utilized the resources of the Emergency medicine Learning resource Center the founder of the first Emergency medicine prehospital conference Clincon, Mobile Simulation Lab as 50 ft tour bus that use
belong to patty Labelle, and Altman Brothers as a tour bus. Dotten utilizes the Labs 2 human simulation to provide a realistic emergency response to a WMD. Dotten coin the idea of providing visuals clues to his students. Dotten partner with century Costume in Orlando to create his creation of WMD Simulation Mask that Medical realistic to increase the realism of the training his project provides throughout the state of the Fl. The WMD Response for Canaries has been a model national project to train emergency responders regardless of level how to recognize and handle a response for WMD do to terrorism.

Dotten has appeared in Fire House, Emergency Responder, and other magazines. Dotten has been on all national television alliates and interview by all the major networks of why this training vital as a national model to respond to terrorism.
