Donald Burns is an American businessman and former chairman of the board at magicJack, a VoIP technology company. He previously served as the chairman of the board at VocalTec and worked as a telecommunications executive at companies such as Telco Communications, YMax, and Mid-Atlantic.
He is the founder and current president of the Donald A. Burns Foundation.
Career
Donald Burns was the founder of Telco Communications Inc., which created the 10-10 phone number system.
In 2007, Burns and his partner, Dan Borislow, founded magicJack with Burns named as CEO of the new company.
Personal
He is the owner of the motor yacht Chasseur, designed by Christensen Shipyards.
The Razor House was listed for sale in 2018.
Philanthropy
Donald Burns is the founder and president of the Donald A. Burns Foundation. The foundation supports local and national initiatives and nonprofit organizations. The foundation is a supporter of various LGBTQ+ causes such as the Victory Institute.
