Nawa Kabika popularly known as DJ LBC (7 July 1981 - 30 November 2015) was a Zambian born Radio and International Club DJ and host of Lusaka’s QFM Power Breakfast Show with over one million listeners weekly. He died on 30 November, 2015 after he lost a battle to cardiac arrest. He was host of "The Sprite DJ Mixing competition" which featured international artists including Gidi Gigi Maji Maji and Skwata camp, an event he hosted for 3 consecutive years. Life and career DJ LBC was born into a family of four grew up in Lusaka, a city where he obtained the first school leaving certificate and the high school certificate. He later obtained a certificate in video production after which he received a certificate in public relations. He then joined the radio 4 fan club where he learned the basics of broadcasting before his first gig at Radio Phoenix. He later joined the services of QFM Power where he presented a popular breakfast show that earned him an household name. In March 2004, he won an award for the best show. The prize included a media tour trip to London where he spent a month familiarizing himself with The BBC, Choice FM, Kiss 100, and Capital FM among others.
