Gav Richards

Gav Richards (born October 11, 1985 in Lincoln, England) is a British radio presenter and club/bar DJ, most recently heard on on Hallam FM.

Early life
Gav attended King Edward VI School (later renamed Retford Oaks High School) in his hometown of Retford, Nottinghamshire. After leaving school, Gav began work on a CMS, which later became the 'Airwave' system, now used by many UK and international commercial radio stations. From July 2002 to February 2005, Gav was a member of the Sheffield Children's Hospital radio station Chrystal Radio.

Commercial Radio Career
At age 18, Gav made his first commercial radio appearance on air at Chesterfield's Peak FM. He only presented 2 shifts, taking the station off air during one.
From April 2005 to February 2006, Gav was part of the on-air lineup at Hallam FM in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Before starting at Galaxy, Gav made a brief appearance at Passion 107.9 (Now Oxford's FM 107.9) in Oxford.
From December 2006 he was part of the on-air lineup at Galaxy North East. From February 3rd 2007 until August, he was the weekend breakfast presenter. He also provided cover for drive and evenings on Galaxy Birmingham during this period.

Return to Hallam FM
In October 2007, Gav re-joined Hallam FM in Sheffield to host the Saturday evening dance music show Floorfillers.
