Discovery Lab School's Entrance

Discovery Lab School is a small elementary and middle school in the Yakima School District. About 210 first through eighth grade students attend. They say, "Our teachers create classroom environments structured to challenge students appropriate to their learning abilities and styles." There they encourage parents to become involved with the student's learning at the school. The school's principal is Deb Lavis.

Sports & Physical Activities

This school has an optional cross country team that practices in the summer and competes in various competitions and meets in different parts of Yakima. The school does not yet support any other sports teams, but they are planning to establish some type in the near future. The school's mascot is the cougar.

This school is unique as it offers many things other schools do not.
