Diana L Guerrero, (b. April 24, 1960), is an author, professional speaker, wild and domestic animal behavior & training coach and founder of Ark Animals - an organization whose stated purpose is share "innovative and integrative techniques and strategies to help people connect with animals." She is the author of Blessing of the Animals: A Guide to Prayers & Ceremonies Celebrating Pets & Other Creatures (ISBN 978-1402729676) , What Animals Can Teach Us About Spirituality: Inspiring Lessons of Wild & Tame Creatures (ISBN 978-1893361843) , contributing editor to Resources for Crisis Management in Zoos & Other Animal Care Facilities and is included in other works. Guerrero was born in San Pedro, California and received her training degree and certifications from several private facilities and colleges including Ralph Helfer's Gentle Jungle, the Exotic Animal Training & Management Program at Moorpark College, and the Durrell Wildlife Preservation Trust. She began her career at 15 under the tutelage of John Olguin at the Cabrillo Beach Marine Aquarium. Some of her experiences are presented in her book, What Animals Can Teach Us about Spirituality: Inspiring Lessons of Wild and Tame Creatures, published by Skylight Paths Publishing. In addition, Guerrero is a former columnist for the Animal Keepers Forum of the American Association of Zoo Keepers and a contributor to a wide variety publications internationally. Some of these include On the Mountain Magazine, Live Trade & Transport, Elephant Managers Journal, Awareness Magazine and others. Guerrero does professional appearances at both large and small venues in a wide variety of industries and appears regularly on radio and television as an animal expert. She has also appeared as guest talent on Animal Planet, Discovery and PBS. Guerrero currently resides in the mountains near Big Bear Lake, California.
