The Naggy is a cocktail which gained popularity in Singapore's Orchard Road nightlife district in 2008 during the media coverage of when famous actress Huang Biren left her job at MediaCorp TV over the pay. *4 ounces brandy or Cognac *3 ounce White wine *3 ounce orange juice *splash Cola Fill glass with three ice cubes, then add in order: brandy, orange juice, splash of cola, and finally white wine. Palm-roll the glass in your hand to stir the drink and serve. The name of the drink was associated with Huang Biren's television role as a fat, naggy and fierce housewife in Mars VS Venus, for which she was nominated for the Best Actress award in the Asian Television Awards (ATA) and Star Awards 2007. The first bartender to begin serving the Naggy is unknown, but the biting taste of brandy combined with the citrus flavor of orange juice is thought to reflect the temperament of her character. A Naggy is typically ordered by loudly slapping one's palm onto the bar counter, leaning forward over the bar, and exclaiming "Naggy!" with a drawn-out ending to the word while extending one's tongue out of the mouth and with the other hand showing fingers for the number of Naggies desired.
