Cynthia Harrell

Cynthia Harrell is an American vocalist. A native of Chicago and the sister of songwriter and producer Kuk Harrell, she is best known for her performance of the song "I am the Wind" for the 1997 Konami video game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Her recording of the song was also released in Japan as a single (KIDA 7622). In 2004, Harrell sang the opening theme for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater which won the "Best Original Vocal Song - Pop" Award from the Game Audio Network Guild at the Game Developers Conference in August 2005. (The theme is also featured in the final battle of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.)
For many years Harell worked as a back-up vocalist for singers such as Aretha Franklin, Aaron Hall, Ramsey Lewis and Tyrone Davis. She is currently the Studio Manager at Triangle Sound Studios in Atlanta Georgia, a division of RedZone Entertainment.
