Colin Linford

Colin Linford served as president of the Canadian Soccer Association from May 2006 to August 2007. He was the Association's 31st president. He resigned from his position in 2007.
During his tenure, he served as the Association's head of delegation at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Russia 2006. He also served as a member of the Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007.
Before serving as president of the Canadian Soccer Association, he served as president of the Ontario Soccer Association from 2002 to 2006. In 2002, he was granted a life membership in the South West Regional Soccer Association.
With the Canadian Soccer Association, he vowed then to make grand changes for the sport at the national level. He said the national soccer organization was dominated by provincial interests, more interested in their local associations, and more interested in power. He also wanted staff to make more decisions.
