Georgina Bencsik

Canadian (Toronto)community advocate ranging from multiculturalism and aboriginal issues to business concerning all three levels of government. Business person and entrepreneur who serves on various boards for several charities and advisory groups. As a Liberal Party of Canada member and executive member introduced a MAP -- Multiculturalism Awards Program in 2006. Quoted and broadcast to various ethnic media and national media such as: Toronto Star, National Post, North York Mirror, Pakistan Weekly, Menora, Vietnamese Weekly, Bangla Weekly, Muslim Free Press.

Political Involvements
National Executive member of the Liberal Party of Canada, elected Regional Vice-President Ontario during the Leadership Convention 2006 in Montreal, Canada by Hon. Mauril Belanger MP and Hon. George Smitherman MPP.
Elected to Multiculturalism Representative position in November 2004, the first for Liberal Party of Canada (Ontario).
*Re-elected as Ontario Chair, Standing Committee on Multiculturalism
*Vice-President Membership for Ontario Women's Liberal Commission (2006)

Prior to that she was Vice-Chair of the Provincial Multiculturalism Committee of the Ontario Liberal Party focusing on Business and Professionals.

She has been a speaker at both provincial and federal wings of the Liberal Party concerning multiculturalism, women in politics, and diversity.

Community Involvements

According to various newspapers and television programs, Bencsik has spoken publicly at events and in news media on issues ranging from business issues, women in politics, Canadian multiculturalism, diversity, among other topics.

Involvements have included: Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Canada25, Canadian Unity Council, Pine Valley Environmental Assessment, Black Creek Regional Transportation and Management Association (BCRTMA), University of Toronto Governing Council (Academic Board), CJPAC, Mosaic, Laurier Club, Frontiers Foundation.
