Christopher Jessup (musical artist)

Christopher Jessup is an American composer and pianist.
Early life and education
Jessup was raised in Darien, Connecticut. He graduated from The Juilliard School Pre-College in 2017 and The Juilliard School College in 2021. His teachers included composer Melinda Wagner and pianist Jerome Lowenthal.
Career
Jessup's compositions have been performed and recorded by the Juilliard Orchestra, Hélène Grimaud, Brett Deubner, and Allison Brewster Franzetti. His works are published internationally by Noten Roehr Frankfurt, Sacred Music Publishing, and J.W. Pepper. Additionally, his music has been released on Navona Records. Jessup has performed at Carnegie Hall over a dozen times, concertized throughout Europe, and appeared as a soloist with the Camerata Artists, Virtuosi Brunenses, and Alicante Philharmonic orchestras. His compositions and performances have been featured on National Public Radio and Italian TV.

Personal life
While Jessup's career has flourished, his personal life has always been troubled. He opened up in an Instagram post on November 22, 2021 about his turbulent childhood and mental health struggles.
