Gabrielle Geppert is a German designer and artist, specialized in vintage luxury items and fashion. She has established her own boutique in Paris, in the gardens of the Palais Royal, where, Chanel, Hermès and Yves Saint Laurent creations stand alongside her own designs.
Biography
Born into from a modest family, Gabrielle grows up in a small village. She dreams of travel and has a thirst for adventure. She makes her first purchase at age 15: a travel bag.
When 17, she leaves the family nest for Cologne, where she studies human sciences. Rebellious character, she won’t blend in, she wants to stand out from others. She likes vintage clothing and frequently visits "second-hand" shops so as to perfect her style.
Five years later, in need for change, she settles in Rome, Italy. Her Sunday mornings are dedicated to Porte Portese, Rome’s famous flea market. After six years, she then heads off to New York City before eventually returning to Rome.  In 1991, she moves to Paris, where she studies art history and becomes a city guide.
1998: Gabrielle is back in Italy, in Milan. She works for the fashion designer Maria Calderara. She finally she settles permanently in Paris 2 years later, where she works for the Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto. In January 2003, Gabrielle opens her vintage boutique in the gardens of Paris’s Royal Palace. She fills the place with all kinds of clothes, bags, jewelry, shoes and sunglasses. The selection is always to her liking, she revives the "hunt" spirit of flea markets in this shop.
Little by little, the boutique gets a newlook and carries vintage items from major Maisons. Hermès, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior all live side by side in Gabrielle boutique:  the “vintage luxe” shop is born.
Later on, Gabrielle eventually puts her taste for the luxury creations and her knowledge of fashion into the launch of her own collection of accessories; a new way for her to express.
This first accessories’ collection has now turned into many more clothing and vegetal leather good collections, all under Gabrielle’s personal brand “Gabrielle Geppert”.
The "Gabrielle Geppert" brand
In 2004, Gabrielle launches her personal eponymous brand "Gabrielle Geppert", represented by the logo “GG”.
Faithful to its creator, the brand is a mix of avant-garde and contemporary, of authenticity and atypicality.
Gabrielle finds her inspiration in the gardens of Paris’s Royal Palace, in which Classism meets the beauty of nature. The geometry of the garden’s trees, its choreographed flowerbeds, the rocks’ stillness… Gabrielle is fascinated by the garden’s calm and mystery.
Lines are a central concern in Gabrielle’s collections: her jewellery are declined from her own “GG” brand logo; so is the fabric of her graphic and refined bags.
The nature present in her unique environment is also ever present in her creations: Gabrielle’s accessories are made in vegetal leather, her flower-patterned jackets and the animals and the depicted on her shirts all come from the Royal Palaces gardens.
Caring towards others and caring of environmental issues, Gabrielle endorses and implements a slow fashion approach in her work. Professional and sophisticated, she strives for excellence through quality, limited waste in production, and ecology.
All of Gabrielle’s collections are produced in little numbers, in French ateliers, always using the best fabrics. These creations, alike their designer, are contemporary, chic and casual. Gabrielle likes to describe them as “graphic poetic”.
