Mathori London (ML) collaborates with UK-based fashion designers and contemporary artists from around the globe, invited to embed Mathori London’s visions in realizing a brand new collection of menswear that brings together garments and accessories manufactured with the best traditional British fabrics such as cashmere, mohair, silk and wool, combined to produce a contemporary, smart, casual and urban look.
Name
The name Mathori originates from one of ML graphic designer frequent use of the word Mathori meaning intelligent-mature-and-well-respected-person in Serbian language. Group of fashion designers and artists assembled in London wanting a name for their new label, found it perfectly suitable for their new smart designer clothing company.
Concept
In summer 2007 new label was born, with clear idea; “We do not intend to be mass market with collection, ML wants to be more personal, more rare, more precious to its owners, you should know that our fashion and artistic concept aims at doing more than simply cover up people’s bodies!”
