Chris Kacher

Christian D. Kacher is a trained nuclear physicist</s> who received a Ph. D. in Nuclear Chemistry in 1995, turned stock investor, composer, and nuclear physicist</s> is reported to have achieved triple digit percentage returns in the stock market every year from 1995 to 2000, six years in a row. He is the protégé of William O'Neil of the CANSLIM method of investing, and manages money for individuals to help build their wealth. In conjunction with his investment career, Dr. Kacher helped to make the first atom of element 110 and confirm the discovery of element 106 which the research group of which he was a member named Seaborgium. Dr.</s> Kacher also launched his debut CD Teardrop Rain, comprising 21 original compositions for the piano,
and published his book on investing and personal growth, "Trade Like An O'Neil Disciple: How We Made 18,000% In The Stock Market," co-authored with Gil Morales, through John Wiley & Sons which launched in August 2010.
Kacher recently launched www.VirtueOfSelfishInvesting.com that provides stock and market timing recommendations.
Career
In 2010, Kacher launched http://www.virtueofselfishinvesting.com along with fellow market wizard Gil Morales. The site aims to help investors profit in challenging markets by way of stock and ETF recommendations, as well as providing investor education by way of the Socratic Q&A method. The site is a resource to a book they published through John Wiley & Sons on investing and personal growth, which launched in August 2010. Both Dr. Kacher and Gil Morales were interviewed in Kevin Marder's book Conversations With Top Traders.
In 1990, Christian D. Kacher was named the recipient of the American Chemical Society Charles D. Coryell Award.
From 1994 to 1995, Christian Kacher helped to make the first atom of element 110 and did a confirmation discovery on element 106 which his research group named Seaborgium after his Nobel Laureate mentor Professor Glenn T. Seaborg. Kacher holds a PhD in nuclear chemistry from the University of California Berkeley and has published over 50 scientific research articles.
In May 1995, Kacher started one of the first online stock advisory services which he called The Virtue of Selfish Investing. The number of subscribers grew exponentially into the thousands in a few short months, but he agreed to close it down once hired in Jan 1996 at William O'Neil Inc, a normal non-compete requirement when working for an SEC-regulated firm.
From 1996 to 2002, Kacher worked closely with William O'Neil. His key responsibilities at William O'Neil + Co. Inc were 1) to act as a principle portfolio manager for part of O’Neil’s personal wealth, 2) to help Investor’s Business Daily staff writers with their Investor’s Business Daily Investor’s Corner column on the stock market of which he appeared in several, 3) to lead stock market related research projects, and 4) to advise that firm's 500 institutional clients on individual stock selection.
In 2003, Kacher, once a child prodigy concert pianist with Suzuki Method Institute under Harlow Mills, took time off to compose music.
From 2004 to present, Kacher founded Ayn Rand Holdings, his holding company where he invests his own capital in various stock markets around the world. On occasion, he offers his stock market expertise and wealth management services to a limited number of investors.
In 2004 Kacher, together with two partners, started a hedge fund in Geneva, Switzerland that launched in Jan the following year.
