Career
After High school Chris Cyprus worked for his family business as Carpet fitter. He then became a builder and part time musician working in the Northern Clubs and on occasion even touring Germany.
After a work related injury Chris took up painting and shortly after exhibited paintings at the G-Mex art show in Manchester. This furthered his career considerably, but in 2001 he was struck down with testicular cancer which after a few years struck again in 2003. This helped Chris to see life in a way he hadn't seen before, and began to see he was taking certain things for granted. He got the all clear from testicular cancer in 2004.
Recent Work
This new found vision gave Chris a new found love of art and he wanted to succeed. He subsequently began to organize his own exhibitions in art galleries and restaurants. This has helped Chris to become a beloved painter in his local area and further afield.
A local high school is currently using his art work as a basis for the studying for their GCSE art exam. Chris has also appeared on BBC's Gardeners' World .
