Andy Laode Abdul Hasan

Andy Laode Abdul Hasan a.k.a Laode Abdul Hasan (born 1 July 1978 in Jakarta, Indonesia) is professional photographer and also full time system designer and Engineer that lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. Andy is also known informally as “Andy Bray” in one of the largest Facebook online community named “Komunitas Fotografi Indonesia” also known as “KFI”. In that community Andy is known as one of the founder. He is a Chinese Indonesian.
Early Life and Education
Andy was born at 1 July 1978 in Jakarta, Indonesia, elder son of Maemuna, his mother, a high school teacher, and Laode Muhammad Nasim, his father, a sailor. His father was a Butonese and his mother was Butonese and Chinese descent. Andy’s mother was working in Jakarta as a school teacher when she met his father. Andy’s father at first was working as a bank clerk before turn out to be a sailor, his father first job as a sailor was working as an oiler which job is supervising ships’ oil level. Andy has one younger brother, Laode Abdul Razak. His brother work as a reporter for newspaper.
Andy grew up in North Jakarta because near to the Tanjung Priok harbour, his father working area. His first education was in SD 05 (SD is abbreviation of Sekolah Dasar, meaning Elementary School) morning in Rawabadak district. He graduated in SD 05, after 6 years of education, to continue his junior high school in SMP 173 (SMP is abbreviation of Sekolah Menengah Pertama, meaning Junior High School), for 3 years of education, also in the same Rawabadak district. After graduate junior high school, Andy entered senior high school SMA 13. Finishing his basic and advance education, Andy moved to Bandung to go to University grade education at Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Telkom (Telecom Technology School) on 1996.
Occupation
Audio Visual Specialist
During day to day activity, beside photography, Andy is well known as system specialist in integration of Audio Video Equipment together with control system. He has excellent skill in Home Automation and Audio Visual and Lighting (Crestron, AMX, Control4, Cue, and Extron). He has vast knowledge of audio, video, and control knowledge and has some certificate from the major Audio Visual principal. His work can be found on many office buildings in Jakarta and surrounding.
Notable examples from Andy’s work in audio visual integration together with control system are: war room at PT SMART, Tbk; fifty four small, medium, and large meeting rooms at ConocoPhillips Ratu Prabu 2, Jakarta; Collaboration room at British Petroleum control room; Telkom Divre 2 Customer Care control room; Telkomsel Control Room and BOD meeting Room; Grand Hyatt Bali great Ballroom at Nusadua; Public Area, restaurant, Lobby, and great Ballroom of , Jakarta; Public Address and General Alarm at Logistic facility Area of ConocoPhillips Matak Island, Natuna.
His excellent skill in Audio Visual comes from 4 years Joining Kenwood Corporation at Singapore branch as Industrial Engineering Specialist, 4 years joining Graha Digital (one of the well-known system integrator in Indonesia which is a member of CEDIA) as Technical Manager, 2 years in Dehao Electronic Technology (China enterprise which is a maker of MLCD panel and also LED signboard) as Technical Manager.
Photographer
Although photography is not his main job, Andy’s passion actually is in Photography industry. This is because his early life dreaming was to be a fine art artist and a painter. Unable to realize his dream because apparently his father against his dreaming; Andy was unable to train his talent in fine art and painting. Thanks god to digital photography, he found that his talents in art not go all into waste when he study and enter his life as a photographer.
As a Photographer, Andy is working based on demand. Mostly, Andy’s main job as a photographer is actually dealing with client that has Internet online shop, magazine, book publications, company profile, and individual portrait portfolios. Although, Andy’s skill in Photography cover a wide spectrum of photography area (still life, portrait, landscape, action, event, and journalistic) he finds that his main interest actually in photographing naked woman ( nude photography) and untouched landscape. For naked woman portfolios actually he owns thousands of amateur photos of undeveloped and infamous model and talent.
First time working in Photography business, Andy together with his friend Randy was working as a wedding photographer. Continue from that, Andy thinks that his main interest actually not in to the wedding photography, instead he found that his main interest actually in photographing people portrait and also still life product.
