Chinedu Ogbonna (born September 3, 1998) is an College football defensive end and linebacker for the UMass Minutemen football. As a recruit, 247Sports.com's ranked him 825th nationally, 58th as a outside linebacker, and the 83rd best football prospect in GA for the class of 2017. They also gave him a composite score of 0.8199.
Early years
Ogbonna was born in Marietta, Georgia, where he grew up. He playing football for East Cobb middle. Four all four years chinedu attended Joseph Wheeler High School, while playing football for Michael Collins. He was a three-star recruit and was ranked #58 outside linebacker in his class
Sophomore Year
• Started all 12 games at outside linebacker
• Posted 72 tackles, including 31 solo stops, with 7.0 TFLs and 1.5 sacks
• Also recovered one fumble and returned an interception 33 yards
• Provided eight tackles at Boston College (9/2)
• Nabbed his first collegiate double-digit tackle performance with 10 stops at Georgia Southern (9/8)
• Had eight takedowns, including 1.0 TFLs, and recovered a fumble at FIU (9/15)
• Totaled five stops with 1.5 TFLs, including an assisted sack, against Charlotte (9/22)
• Made seven tackles including an assisted TFL at USF (10/6)
• Earned six tackles, including 1.5 TFLs, and hauled in an interception against Coastal Carolina (10/20)
• Notched seven tackles with 1.0 TFLs for two yards lost in the win at UConn (10/27)
• Produced a seven-yard sack among six total tackles in the three-overtime win against Liberty (11/3)

Junior Year
