Personal life Nicholas P. Rossi, born March 24, 1987...enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences...Nick and his younger brother Phillip are the sons of Laura and Gary Rossi. High School Career Earned All-Catholic Conference honors as a senior tight end at Catholic Memorial High School; had played on the offensive line prior to 2004...gained the Knights' Most Improved Player award...made 21 receptions for 189 yards and three touchdowns in 2004...played for head coach Alex Campea ... played in the 45th Agganis Football Classic in July 2005...also played on CM's baseball team, earning All-Conference accolades as a junior. College career 2005 season Redshirted 2006 season Saw action in two games - Buffalo and Duke. 2007 season Headed into the 2007 season listed as an offensive guard but played on the defensive line for most of the season...finished with 7 total tackles (5 solos), a TFL and a pass breakup...had one solo tackle in BC's win over Michigan State in the Champs Sports bowl...registered first-career tackle-for-loss resulting in five yards in defensive effort that held Virginia Tech within range to stage a BC fourth-quarter comeback win...in third action of the season, registered two total tackles (one solo) in outing at Notre Dame...had an assisted tackle in win over Bowling Green...recorded first tackles of career against Army...ended the game with two solo tackles in the team's 63 tackle performance. 2008 season Listed as a two-way player, saw significant time on the offensive line...BC ranked 25th in the country in tackles for a loss allowed (4.77) and 49th in sacks allowed (1.69)...the line only allowed 21 sacks with a pair of first-year starting quarterbacks behind them...paved the way for true freshman TB Montel Harris to break BC freshman records with 900 rushing yards and five 100-yard performances...Harris and classmate Josh Haden were the second-most prolific true freshman backfield in the country, averaging 106 yards a game. 2009 season Appeared in all 13 games on special teams and the defensive line...recorded 18 tackles (10 solo) and two tackles for a loss on the year...had two tackles and a TFL at Notre Dame...had four tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery at Virginia Tech...recorded three tackles against Florida State...registered three tackles at Clemson...recipient of the John J.
