Sidney Glover

Sidney Glover (born February 1, 1988 in Warren, Ohio) is an American football defensive back for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Early Life
Glover attended Warren G. Harding High in Ohio, where he earned all-state honors as a team captain of the 10-3 playoff team. Glover finished his senior season with 130 tackles, three interceptions, and eight touchdowns. He was also a track letterman.
Glover was being recruited by Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, and Penn State. However, Glover signed his letter of intent with West Virginia University.
Collegiate Career
2007 season (Freshman)
Sidney Glover arrived in 2007 as a true freshman, and played in 11 games at various safety positions. Glover finished the season with 18 tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble in a backup and special teams role. In the season-opener against Western Michigan, he totaled four tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. He also had four tackles against Syracuse and Connecticut.
2008 season (Sophomore)
Sidney Glover earned the starting job at bandit safety in the second game of the season against ECU, and finished the game with 6 tackles and a tackle for a loss. In the following overtime loss to Colorado, Glover was third on the team with a career-high 10 tackles and a tackle for a loss. Glover did not start the Marshall game, but recorded 3 solo tackles. However, he started the game against Rutgers and finished with 8 tackles. Then against Syracuse, Glover recorded 6 tackles and a sack. In the 34-17 victory over Auburn, he totaled 9 tackles and a tackle for a loss. In the 35-13 win over Connecticut, Glover had 3 tackles. In the 26-23 loss in overtime to Cincinnati, Glover had 3 tackles. In the season finale 13-7 victory over USF, Glover totaled four tackles and forced two key turnovers in the fourth quarter - a forced fumble and an interception.
Glover finished the season with 61 tackles, 4.5 for a loss, a sack, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
