Paul Rountree is president and founding director of First Green Bank, a community bank headquartered in Mt. Dora, Florida. He was previously the area president of First Choice Bank. In 2010, Rountree was named to South Lake Hospital's District Board of Trustees. He currently serves as the board's treasurer. Biography Rountree is a native to Florida, having grown up in the Tampa Bay area. He enlisted in the army after high school, serving as an Aviation Specialist, and was named "Soldier of the Year" for the HHC of the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. In 1997, after leaving the army, Rountree moved to the Orlando area where he began his career in banking with First National Bank of Central Florida. Rountree moved to Lake County in late 2003 where he joined the team at Florida Choice Bank as area president. In 2006, he worked with the members of Senior Management to coordinate FLorida Choice Bank's sale to Alabama National BanCorporation. Rountree was then instrumental in the opening of First Green Bank, where he currently serves as president and a founding director. Rountree is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). Rountree earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in Business Management in 2005. He is very active in his community, serving as past president and current board member of the Pig on the Pond, a board member to the Community Foundation of South Lake and South Lake Hospital and a member of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the board of South Lake Pop Warner and is an active volunteer and coach for the South Lake Dixie Youth League.
