Centenary of Military Aviation 2014 Air Show

The Centenary of Military Aviation Air Show 2014 is a celebration of the centenary of the birthplace of the Australian Flying Corps in Australia.
Background
The Royal Australian Air Force celebrated the Centenary of Military Aviation 2014 Air Show at Point Cook, Victoria, where Eric Harrison and Henry Petre established the birthplace of Australian Flying Corps, predecessor of the Royal Australian Air Force.
Point Cook became Australia's first air base and Central Flying School (CFS) the inaugural training unit, before making the first historic flight in March 1914, making it the oldest continually operating military airfield in the world.
Associated events
A Bristol Boxkite replica of the aircraft originally operated at the Central Flying School AFC was constructed for the Australian Centenary of Military Aviation. The aircraft had its test flight on 11 September 2013 at RAAF Base Williams, Point Cook. The Boxkite replica was built at the RAAF Museum over a seven year period to become a showcase display at the museum.
