There are a number of F-4 Phantom IIs on display worldwide:

* RAAF Museum, Melbourne - 1 F-4E painted to represent one of the examples flown by the RAAF while awaiting delivery of the F-111
Belgium
* Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History - 1 RF-4C.
Guam
* Andersen Air Force Base - an F-4G is on display with the tailcode "PN" for the 3d Tactical Fighter Wing of the Thirteenth Air Force
Germany
* Luftwaffe-Museum, Berlin - Two former Luftwaffe F-4F Phantoms ('38+04' and '38+34') and one RF-4E Phantom ('35+62')
* Luftwaffe Air Base, Wittmund - Former Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom ('37+11')
Japan
* Kadena Air Base on Okinawa has an F-4 on display on the main road coming in from the main gate.
South Korea
* F-4C on display at the War Memorial of Korea, Seoul.
United Kingdom
* RAF Museum, London - RAF McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR2 XV424.
* Midland Air Museum, Coventry - USAF F-4C Phantom II F-4C-15-MC (AF Ser. No. 63-7699) is on display and USAF F-4C Phantom II F-4C-15-MC (AF Ser. No.63-7414) is kept in a dismantled state for parts; both are on loan from the USAF Museum.
* Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovil, Somerset - Royal Navy McDonnell Phantom FG1 XT596
* National Museum of Flight, East Fortune, - McDonnell Douglas F-4S Phantom (155848/5848/WT).
United States
* Austin, Texas - An F-4C with tail number 40712 is displayed on the eastern boundary of Camp Mabry along Texas State Highway Loop 1.
* Baton Rouge, Louisiana - An F-4 is located at American Legion Post 38.
* Charleston, South Carolina - An F-4C is on display on the campus of The Citadel.
* Charlotte, North Carolina, Two F-4s from MCAS Cherry Point at the Carolinas Aviation Museum VMF-232.
* Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona - There is a dwindling number of USAF, USN and USMC F-4s in AMARC storage at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
* Eglin Air Force Base, Florida - Two Phantom IIs, an F-4D and RF-4E, are on display at the Air Force Armament Museum near Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
* Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, McMinnville, Oregon. F-4C s/n 63-7647, formerly of the Oregon Air National Guard with 1 confirmed MiG kill in Vietnam.
* Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas - An RF-4C (S/N 69-0367) is on display on the corner of Kearney Blvd and Canberra St W.

* Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii - An F-4C is on display along the flight line near the east gate of Hickam AFB, HI.
* Hickory Aviation Museum, operated by the Hickory Sabre society North Carolina - An early F-4B which flew in the Cuban Missile Crisis prior to retirement.
* Hill Air Force Base, Utah - Multiple variants of the F-4 are on display at the Hill Aerospace Museum and at multiple locations around Hill AFB.
* Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum - An F-4N, which served in the Marine Squadron VMF 323, on display on the flight deck. It is on loan from the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida.
* Lackland Air Force Base, Texas - An F-4E is on display near the west gate at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas.
* MacDill Air Force Base, Florida - An F-4E is on display on base at MacDill Memorial Park. The aircraft is painted in the colors of the 56th Tactical Fighter Wing when it was based at MacDill.
* Marine Corps Air Station Miramar - The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum has an RF-4B from VMFP-3 and an F-4B from VMFA-134 on display.
* Marine Corps Base Hawaii - An USMC F-4S from VMFA-212 is on display at the main entrance near the main gate.
* Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama - An F-4 is on display in Education Circle.
* Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho has an F-4D on display in the base park, as well as an RF-4C formerly used for training in unusable storage
* Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina - An F-4E painted in the 4 TFW colors from the 1980s.
* Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina - An RF-4C is on display on base. The aircraft is painted in the colors of the 363d Tactical Reconnaissance Wing when it was based at Shaw.
* Texas Air Museum, Stinson Chapter, San Antonio : F-4C USAF serial # 63-7415, being restored from BDR platform to SEA camo and Kadena AB fin flash
* Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: F-4D is on static display with the tail number 66-518 ()
* Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio - Multiple examples of F-4s and RF-4s are on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
* Naval Air Station Key West, Florida has an F-4N on display in the markings of VF-171.
* Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia - An F-4J is on display on base at the NAS Oceana Aviation Heritage Park.
* Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland - An F-4J is on display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum on base.
* Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida - Multiple examples of the F-4J, F-4S and RF-4B are on display or in storage at the National Museum of Naval Aviation.
* Murrieta, California - Phantom II F4H-1, BuNo 145310, U.S. Navy, is located at French Valley Airport, Murrieta, California.
* Patterson, Louisiana - An F-4 is located at the Louisiana State Museum.
* San Diego, California - has two F-4s on display.
* San Diego, California - The San Diego Air and Space Museum has an F-4J on display in the center courtyard. The aircraft carries the markings of VF-96 aircraft "Showtime 112" as flown by then-LT Randy "Duke" Cunningham and then-LTJG Willie Driscoll. This is the exact aircraft flown for their first two kills.
* Fremont, Colorado - An F-4C is on display at the Fremont County Airport.
* Patriot's Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant, SC has an F4-Phantom II on display on the flight deck of the .
* Pooler, Georgia - An F-4C is on display outside in the parking lot of the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Pooler, Georgia.
* Pekin, Illinois - A former Illinois Air National Guard F-4C is on display at Pekin Municipal Airport
* Fort Wayne, Indiana - An F-4E is on display as a gate guard of the 122nd Fighter Wing ANG unit at Fort Wayne International Airport.
* Monett, Missouri - An F-4E in Thunderbird markings is on display in the city park, near the intersection of MO-37 & US-60.
* Cleveland, Ohio - Two F-4 Phantoms are displayed at the entrance gate at Burke Lakefront Airport. The Phantoms are painted as examples of U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aircraft.
* Heath, Ohio - Single F-4 on outdoor display at Newark-Heath Airport
* Houston, Texas - One aircraft, an F-4D, is operated by the Massachusetts-based non-profit organization Collings Foundation as a "living history" exhibit. Funds to maintain and operate the aircraft, which is based in Houston, Texas, are raised through donations/sponsorships from public and commercial parties.
* Seattle, Washington - A F-4C Phantom II is on display at the Museum of Flight, Seattle, Washington.
* Springfield, Illinois - One F-4E stands on display in front of the Air National Guard installation at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport.
* United States Air Force Academy, Colorado - An F-4C is located on the Cadet Parade Ground of the USAFA campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
* United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland - An F-4B is on display on the USNA campus.
* Washington, D.C. - Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian Institution has an F-4S of VMFA-232 on display.
* Bloomington, Illinois - F-4N Phantom II 150444 of VF-161 is on display at the Prairie Aviation Museum.
