Brianne Barry

Brianne Barry (August 21, 1991) is a Canadian wrestler. She finished fifth at the World University championships.
Career
Brianne Barry achieved a career highlight in 2015 when she won the Canadian title by defeating former world bronze medallist Brittanee Laverdure in the final. Barry had enjoyed a standout university career while representing the Western Mustangs. She won five straight OUA titles as well as three CIS silver medals before winning the CIS national title in the 55kg weight class in 2014. That earned her numerous honours, including being named OUA and CIS Most Outstanding Female Wrestler. She also won the F.W.P. Jones Trophy as Western’s top female athlete. Among Barry’s international accomplishments are a bronze medal at the 2013 Jeux de la Francophonie and a pair of medals at the Canada Cup (bronze in 2012, silver in 2014). She will competed at the 2015 Pan American Games.
