Daniel Sessford

Daniel Sessford, born November 9, 1985 in Kelowna British Columbia to Robert and Johannah Sessford moved to Whitehorse in 1999.
Daniel is an Elite Cross-Country mountain bike racer competing in Canada Cups, US Cups and World Cups. He currently competes for Blue Competition Cycles.
He was a member of the Yukon Cycling team in 2003 competing in Western Canada Summer Games held in Winnipeg Manitoba, winning the Yukon's first ever medal at these games when he placed first in the cross-country event and later won the overall. He also competed for the Yukon at the 2005 Canada Games held in Regina Saskatchewan, collecting a bronze medal in the men's Cross-Country event.
Daniel was awarded "National/Territorial Male Athlete of the Year" in 2003 and 2005 by Sport Yukon.
In 2007 he placed third at the Canadian National Cross-Country Championships in the men's U23 category.
He also competed as a Yukon Ski team athlete from 2003-2006 with his top result coming at Western Canadian Cross-Country Ski Championships held in Hinton Alberta where he placed fourth in the U23 15km classic event.
