Boston bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics

Boston 2024 is one of the bids for the 2024 Summer Olympics, and is to be held in the city of Boston and some other events to be held in the Greater Boston Area. New York City had a bid to host the 2012 Summer Games, in which failed and it was awarded to the city of London. The city of Chicago had a bid, but which lost to the city of Rio de Janeiro.In October, Deval Patrick signed a bill to let a group look into the bid. The City of Boston would need to build a main Olympic Stadium that at least needs to hold a capacity of 80,000 people. But, Boston has many other sites and stadiums to host most of the events. If chosen, this is will be the first time in 22 years the United States has hosted the Olympics since the 2002 Winter Olympics.
