BOGSY is an Internet and text slang abbreviation. It usually stands for:
*Bunch Of Guys Stretching and Yawning.
and occassionally:
* Bunch Of Guys Sitting and Yacking or
* Bunch Of Guys Standing and Yelling.
BOGSY may be used within the context of describing informal male bonding activities that involve a minimum of three males gathering, or "hanging out". The theme is typically either a spectator sport, beer, gaming, or gambling (or a combination of these). It is very unlikely that there will be physically demanding activities, although the pace of the evening can vary from relaxed to full out yelling (either at each other, or a referee).
BOGSY is derived from from two other established internet slang acronyms:
*BOG, is an internet acronym for Bunch_of_Guys, and handily is also british slang for toilet, which is frequented in a Beer-related BOGSY. While originally referring to a small terrorist cell, it is beginning to be used as a general statement in a post-George W. Bush society.
*SY, is an internet acronym for Stretching and Yawning.
