Atherton House School (normally shortened to Atherton House) is a private run day nursery located in Crosby, Merseyside. The school's missionary statement is to Provide high quality learning experiences for all, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, ability or background, enabling all to reach their full potential. The current owner and headteacher is Mrs. Alice Apel History of Atherton House School Atherton House School opened originally as a private run primary school in 1947. With it being a very small school when opened class sizes were no bigger that 10+ children per year. In the beginning of the 21st century Mrs. Alice Apel bought the buliding and became the new headteacher. With class and children numbers dropping Mrs. Apel decided to shut the primary school side to the building and focused on it being just a nursery. After some work to the building it opened fully as a private run day nursery. New article name is See Also
