Bletchley Landfill Site is a landfill refuse disposal site currently operated by FCC Environment. It is located in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire on the former Newton Longville Brickworks site. The site has been under the ownership of FCC Environment since it bought the site from the Shanks Group in June 2004. The current planning permission for the site allows for the land-filling of waste until 2022. Location Bletchley landfill site lies 0.5 km south west of Bletchley and 0.5 km north east of Newton Longville, Buckinghamshire. The site is bordered by Newton Leys, arable fields, restored industrial land and is bordered on the east by the Blue Lagoon Local Nature Reserve.<ref name="FCC Enviornment" /> History Clay extraction and brick making commenced at Newton Longville Brickworks as far as back as 1897. Land filling with predominantly inert waste commenced by the start of the 1970s and was operated by the then landowners London Brick Company. Following the closure of the brickworks in 1984 Shanks Group acquired the site, and in 1989 sought revised planning permission to fill and restore the excavated site which was eventually approved in 2002. Approval was subject to new access being constructed to the east of the site to allow tipping in this area. The consent comprises two planning permissions as the site falls within both Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire boundaries.<ref name="FCC Enviornment" />
