BCMMetrics

BCMMetrics™ is an American company based in Phoenix, Arizona. It specializes in business continuity software that supports the development, implementation, and execution of business continuity programs.
Company History
The company was founded in 2014 by Michael Herrera, chief executive officer of MHA Consulting, a business continuity consulting firm to public and private businesses worldwide since 1999 that has been recognized as a leading voice in two key components of crisis management: business continuity and school emergency operations planning. MHA has been consistently ranked in the top 50 minority-owned businesses in Arizona by the Phoenix Business Journal since 1999. BCMMetrics™ is a subsidiary of MHA Consulting and is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture.
Product
The BCMMetrics™ suite of online business continuity software includes tools that facilitate and support enterprise business continuity activities, including program administration, crisis management, business recovery, IT disaster recovery, fire and life safety, supply chain risk management, and third party management. The tools included in the suite are:
* BIA On-Demand (BIA ). This tool guides the Business Impact Analysis process, the first step in building a business continuity program.
* Compliance Confidence (C ). This tool evaluates and scores the level of compliance and alignment of enterprise business continuity programs with industry standards. Standards used as a basis for evaluation include:
** ISO 22301 (recognized in most countries as the main business continuity standard or framework)
** FFIEC
** BCI Good Practices (an independent body of knowledge for good business continuity practice worldwide)
** NFPA 1600 (recognized as the national preparedness standard by the National Commission On Terrorist Attacks Upon The United States)
** OSHA 1910.38 (for fire and life safety)
** SEC
** FINRA 4370
** NIST 800
** Supply Chain Risk Management Best Practices (Supply Chain Risk Leadership Council)
* Residual Risk (R ). This tool is used to assess the risk that remains in a business continuity program after an organization has implemented appropriate controls to comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Primary users are enterprises in the insurance, public utilities, education, financial, and investment industries, particularly since recent actions by the SEC compel financial advisors to adopt and implement written business continuity plans.
BCMMetrics™ software tools were developed jointly with application developer Saini Consulting, and use Amazon Web Services for their cloud infrastructure. The server farm for the company is located in a U.S. SSAE 16 Type II audited data center.
