Optismo

Optismo LLC is a United States company that produces a software platform for application of information governance policies and practices, provides consulting services, and created an annual conference for the Information Governance industry called, The Information Governance Conference.
History
* In 2013 Optismo launched as a merger of two independent companies, LeftGen (founded by Nick Inglis) and The Edward Allen Group (founded by Jim Merrifield and Rich Mesquita).
* In 2014 Optismo launched and executed the first Information Governance Conference
* In 2015 Optismo launched their flagship software product, igKit, a tool to enact Information Governance in organizations.
* In 2015 Optismo partnered with the Information Governance Initiative for the execution of The Information Governance Conference.
* In 2015 Nick Inglis was named as CEO of Optismo, Jim Merrifield as CMO, and Rich Mesquita as CTO.
Open Source Models
Optismo has been praised in the industry for releasing several Open Source models and frameworks under Creative Commons licenses as guides towards best practices in companies. The Information governance Model; RDRV, Relative Data Repository Value Methodology; and the EIM , the Enterprise Information Management Maturity Model have all been released to the public.
