Azhar Iqbal (born Pakistan) is a physicist notable for his work on quantum game theory and, in particular, for his work on evolutionary stability in quantum games.
Education He earned his PhD from the University of Hull, UK, in 2006 in the area of quantum games.
Career During 2006-2007 he was a postdoctoral research fellow and a visiting associate professor at the Kochi University of Technology, Japan, under Taksu Cheon. He is an assistant professor (on leave) at the National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. In 2007, he won an ARC Australian postdoctoral fellowship to carry out further research on quantum game theory at the University of Adelaide, under Derek Abbott.
