Asraful Hoque Sium is a Bangladeshi cardiac surgeon. He got an award for the youngest resident cardiac surgeon in the history of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Bangladesh. Education Asraful completed his MBBS from Bangladesh Medical College in 2005. He completed post-graduate degrees from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Bangladesh (2016). Career Ashraful Hoque Sium performed few cases like MIDCAB with EVH, DVR through MICS at affordable cost for the first time in Bangladesh. He conducted a cardiac surgery of a 12 years old girl without cutting breastbone. Cost of the operation was only 5,000 BDT. Before this, only National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh (NHFB) had conducted this type of surgeries at a cost of Taka 2-3 lakh. It was a milestone of Asraful's career.
