Antony John Wedgwood FCA, known professionally as A.J. Wedgwood (born 31 January 1944) is a British accountant and author. He is heir presumptive to the Wedgwood Barony of Barlaston in Staffordshire. Personal background Wedgwood is the son of the geriatrician John Wedgwood and his first wife Margaret Mason. Since the death of his father in 2007, Wedgwood has been heir presumptive to the Wedgwood Barony of Barlaston in Staffordshire, which is currently held by his second cousin Piers Wedgwood, 4th Baron Wedgwood. Professional background Wedgwood became a Fellow of Chartered Accountants in 1966, and an Associated Chartered Accountant in 1969. He served on various committees and working parties Auditing Practices Board, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the British Bankers' Association. Wedgwood was a trustee and treasurer of the Historic Churches Preservation Trust 2002-2008, and trustee of the National Churches Trust 2007-present. Wedgwood is the coauthor of A Guide to the Financial Services Act 1986, written along with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.. The book is a guide to the Financial Services Act 1986.
