Andrew Demcak

Andrew Demcak (born September 23, 1968, in Silver Spring, Maryland) is a poet, novelist, screenwriter, and the author of Catching Tigers in Red Weather, winner of the 2007 Three Candles Press Open Book Award., Zero Summer, A Single Hurt Color , and two chapbooks, 672 Hours which was featured at The Best American Poetry and Pink Narcissus. His work is currently represented by Carolyn French at Fifi Oscard Inc. NY, who also represents Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Margaret Edson's work.
Demcak's poetry is taught as part of courses at Ohio State University and Michigan State University.
Education
*Demcak holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing/English from Saint Mary's College of California, and an M.L.I.S. in Library Science from San Jose State University.
