Andrew C. Kramer

Andrew C. Kramer is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Reproductive and Sexual Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is a board-certified Urologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of male sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction) and infertility.
Career, education, and training
Dr. Andrew Kramer is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed a Urologic Surgery residency at Boston Medical Center, an institution identified as one of the first in the world to address Male Sexual Health. Dr. Kramer underwent advanced training through a Clinical Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Male Sexual Dysfunction at Boston Medical Center. He has also obtained and M.B.A. at the Wharton School and is the Associate Chairman for Finance and Business Operations for the Department of Surgery.
With over 30 publications and 10 book chapters, he has made substantial contributions to the medical literature on the subject of Erectile Dysfunction and minimally-invasive treatment solutions for Erectile Dysfunction, including the implantation of a penile prosthesis or penile implant. He is known for a high surgical volume in the field of male sexual medicine, performing several hundred penile implants per year. His penile implant practice has grown to be one of the 3 largest volume centers in the world for this procedure. Dr. Kramer and his team are known for performing the procedure efficiently, resulting in procedure times as short as 15 minutes, and for recording some of the world’s lowest infection rates.
Professional memberships
Kramer frequently presents his clinical research at medical conferences and through academic lecture series’ as a subject matter expert nationally and internationally., He has been actively involved in training and proctoring urologists on the placement of inflatable penile prostheses for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Kramer is a member of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, the International Society for Sexual Medicine, the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, and the American Urologic Association. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
