Alpha-Sigma Omega Phi

Alpha-Sigma Omega Phi, commonly known as Asophians (Association of Playboy and Pigeon) is an Inter-collegiate Service Fraternity and Sorority (International) which has (4) golden purposes; (Alpha) Unity, (Sigma) Leadership, (Omega) Sevice and (Phi) Friendship towards the democracy and harmonious understanding under the regime of (...) Justice, Peace and Liberty.
History
Asophians was founded at the University of Mindanao (Mother Chapter or Alpha Chapter) in Davao City last September 26, 1948 by: Master Maximino Vicente Panganiban Ventura III and composed of (21) twenty-one chartered members. The organization was regestered in SEC as a non-profit organization last September 26, 1952. It has hundreds of active chapters in the Philippines. Last September 11, 2008, an Asophian named Andrei Linus Villarruz established his own fraternity/sorority called Alpha Theta Sigma commonly known as AthetaS. The Alumni Association of Alpha-Sigma Omega Phi recognizes his members as half-brothers/sisters because of him. Since then, Asophians and AthetaS became allies.
