Albert Ramos

Albert Anthony Ramos, Jr. (Born December 12, 1977) is an American Football Wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League. Albert Ramos has a younger brother, Max Joya-Ramos and both attend at Wash St. At the 2008 Apple Cup, Albert Ramos and Max Joya-Ramos both retired their jersey, which was the same number (1). Albert Ramos had a perfect college career with 35 touchdowns, 3106 recieving yards and 300 receiving catches. Albert won the 1998 Heisman Trophy voting over 40 points above rival, Markael James.
Career
High School
Ramos attend at Washington High School after disagree with Markael's decisions to go with Franklin Pierce High School. Without Markael James, Albert Ramos had a great career with 30 touchdowns in his high school career breaking a school record. Albert Ramos broken a school record at Washington with 11 touchdowns in one season and lead the Patriots to a State Championship, but lost to Franklin Pierce 44-20. Albert was the top projects in Washington that he considered being in Washington State and Oregon. In his last game in Washington, Albert broken a single-game record with 300 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns against Franklin Pierce.
College Career
Albert Ramos attend at Washington State in 1994. Albert Ramos would be back up receiver at half of the 1994 season, and change position to starter. After his Freshman year at Pullman, he would have to face up to former best friend, Markael James, who attend Washington, James would take the 1995 Heisman Trophy. After the 1995 season, the NFL was considered Albert Ramos to take apart of the NFL Draft, but Ramos rejected and said "I need to finish college, there still things I need to finish right now". In mid-season, Albert Ramos was awarded with the Pac-10 Player of the Week, tying with Heisman Trophy winner, Markael James. Albert's career game was September 20, 1996 with 315 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns against UCLA Bruins.
Professional Career
NFL Draft
Ramos was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round and 15th round pick dued to injuries after the 1998 Apple Cup at Pullman, Washington. Ramos signed a four year contract to Seattle and play full time at wide receiver. After couple of months in the 1998 NFL season, Albert had injuries against the New York Giants and gotten upset that he demand a higher contract and Seattle released Ramos in the 9th week. The Seattle Seahawks released Ramos for a second round and after the release, Albert Ramos had no chance of going on with another team.
1998-2001
When Seattle released Albert Ramos, he was signed to the Baltimore Ravens.After the Ravens signed Ramos, Seattle signed wide receiver, Markael James, which replacing Ramos. In Fox Sports, Markael James made comments about his rivaly with Albert Ramos and said that he was a mistake to taking a job as a wide receiver and never win a Super Bowl Ring on his own. Ramos was starter in Baltimore and feel short at leaving Seattle. After a year, Albert Ramos was ready to be positive about his team, Baltimore Ravens, and signed Marcus Robertson, a 9 year veteran from Boise State University. In Super Bowl XXXV, Albert Ramos catches 10 pass and ran 140 receiving yards with 2 touchdowns and Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl and after that, Albert Ramos was release from the Ravens.
2002-2004
In Albert's offseason, the Green Bay Packers signed Ramos to a two year contract for 2.3 million to be starter for the Packers. Ramos was wearing number 11 for the first time and last time at the last game of the season. After a year, Albert Ramos broken a record for most wins by a receiver (100), but Markael James broken Albert's record (108), which sparked the rivalry even more. In the final two games with the Packers, Albert Ramos received 200 yards and had three touchdowns, after the game, the city of Green Bay don't want Albert Ramos to leave, but Albert made a decision to be released at the offseason. After Packers released Ramos, Green Bay gave Albert the Player of the Year from the Packers for showing no disrespect to the Packers and have a great season.
2005-2007
After being released at Green Bay, Albert Ramos was signed to the New York Giants with Antony Garner, LeTroy Johnson and Jervis Santana, each getting 6.7 million for six years at New York. In July 4, 2005, New England Patriots signed Markael James, Marcus Robertson, Micheal Jordan and Thomas Harris to a six year contract with 7.5 million each. ESPN and Fox Sports Net called the 2005 New York Giants, The Big Four and 2005 New England Patriots, The Dominate Four. At 2006, Albert Ramos broken an NFL record for most wins by a Wide receiver (200) at the Giants-Redskins game.
Superbowl XLII
Althought The Big Four and Dominate Four didn't play much of Superbowl XLII, they reserve for 2nd string. Albert was a punt returner and kick returner for Superbowl XLII. Albert catches 2 passes with Eli Manning and 13 yards, no touchdowns.
2008-Present
After the comments on The Big Four, Albert Ramos had a terrible year, averaging 2.4 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns and under 24 receiving catches in the year. Ramos entered his 11th season and was not able to enter the 2009 Pro Bowl, NFL playoffs, 2008-09 and NFL MVP. In week 7, Ramos injured his right knee and was unable to play until week 15, which was taked out of the Pro Bowl and MVP voting. In the Giants-Eagles game, Albert met Bo Garner before the game started and glad to see him after the trade-off and Bo Garner had 145 rushing yards, 367 passing yards and 98% passing with 2 touchdowns.
Personal Life
Albert Ramos is married to Iris Granados and have four children, Isiah Ramos, Cristina Ramos, Marie Ramos and Alberto Ramos, III. Ramos resides in New York, New York, but in the offseason, he moves to Tacoma, Washington. Albert Ramos is a New York Knicks fan and a Cleveland Cavaliers fan enjoyed watching basketball.
