Akram Ahmad is an Indian Pharmacist, Research Scientist and Professor of pharmacy. Education Ahmad holds a bachelor's degree of pharmacy from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. He was later awarded a full scholarship to be part of the Ph.D. program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney. Career Ahmad is the Founder and CEO of Academically Global. He started his career as an assistant professor at College of Pharmacy - Teerthanker Mahaveer University, India and then Lecturer of clinical pharmacy at UCSI, Malaysia. He taught clinical and public health pharmacy and did a lot of research and submitted multiple research papers. After completing his PhD from the University of Sydney, Akram worked as a Researcher and Research Manager in the Children's Hospital in Sydney where he worked on areas of burn injury, paediatric trauma, models of paediatric surgical care and long-term outcomes following surgery. While working on his thesis on ‘Diabetes in the Indian Immigrants in Australia, he came across many healthcare professionals from the Indian subcontinent who were working in jobs unrelated to their area of expertise as they did not have an understanding about the registration and licensure procedures.
