270 Strategies is a consulting firm. The company provides services in strategy development and execution, organization building, digital organizing and media, data and analytics, and communications. It was founded by former staffers of Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, and has since worked with clients including Battleground Texas, Cory Booker for Senate, the Chicago Cubs, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Ready for Hillary, and Ro Khanna for Congress. 270 Strategies has offices in Chicago and Washington DC, with additional staff in San Francisco. History Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns pioneered new applications of digital strategies to recruit volunteers, identify and engage supporters, and fundraise. In early 2013, National Field Director Jeremy Bird and Battleground States Director Mitch Stewart founded 270 Strategies to bring the lessons learned on the Obama campaigns to political campaigns, nonprofits, and businesses. The company is currently led by partners Jeremy Bird, Mitch Stewart, Mark Beatty, Lynda Tran, Betsy Hoover, Lauren Kidwell, and Meg Ansara. The company is named for the number of electoral votes required to win the presidency. Its logo is inspired by the "snowflake" model for community organizing, used extensively by the company's founders throughout the 2008 and 2012 campaigns.
