232 Records (232 Music) is an independent record label created by high school student Oliver Wade and now owned by small French media conglomerate Lancer Médias. 232 Records owns Radiography Music Publishing Group, a small music publishing group along with small electro/dance label 'Active Beat Recordings'. The 232 global corporate headquarters were originally based in Vale, Guernsey but since the Lancer acquisition it has been located in Le Havre, France. History Early history 232 Records was originally set up by high school student Oliver Wade in 2009, along with the help of his father. The record label only released 2 recordings, both by Oliver Wade. However these 2 recordings racked in an unreleased but estimated $44,000. Oliver Wade became the youngest large company CEO in 2011 at the age of just 12. Lancer Médias Acquisition In early 2011 Oliver Wade announced that he would be cancelling the 232 Records project in order to make way for his new rock/acoustic rock label 'Fiasco.'. Later on that year, in August, Wade announced that French media conglomerate, Lancer Médias, had saved the label. Lancer, apparently bought the label for just €89,000 (approx. $115,000). October 2011 - Present Since the Lancer Médias acquisition the label has only made one release and has only just begun in October 2012 to sign new acts. The label still has strong connections with Oliver Wade, and Guernsey. The label has it's secondary offices there and is in partnership with Oliver Wade and Fiasco. for all French releases. Radiography In early 2011, Oliver Wade announced that the 232 Records group had bought the Canadian publishing group, Radiography, for $21,000. When Lancer acquired 232, the group also purchased 'Radiography'. Since then Lancer has merged it with 232 Records for all heavy rock and metal releases, such as the band 'Sarum'.
