The Ypsilanti Yellow Jackets located in Ypsilanti, Michigan, were founded in 2009 by team owner Ryan Smith, with the purpose of bringing minor league football to the Washtenaw County area. The Yellow Jackets offer a second chance to players that thought their football career was over after high school. Because the NAFL is scouted by the CFL, AFL, NCAA and the NFL, all players must be over the age of 18 and of amateur status.
The Yellow Jackets play under the NAFL (North American Football League) nafl.org , and play in the Canadian Division of the Northern Conference. The NAFL is entering its 11th season, and has close to 100 teams throughout the United States and Canada that participate in its national playoff structure.
Team Goals
The Ypsilanti Yellow Jackets are dedicated to putting a competitive team on the field with the goal of playing in the NAFL Championship game. Our goal is for cost effective sports entertainment in the local areas of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Ann Arbor, Michigan
