Western Conference (AIHL)

The Western Conference is on of two conferences in the American Inline Hockey League (AIHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Eastern Conference.

It was created in 2008 with the creation of the AIHL. The AIHL aligned its teams into two conferences and six divisions. The conference was named for the geographical location of its teams.

Its divisions were re-aligned in 2009 after its first series of expansion, contraction.

Divisions

Before the 2009 realignment, the Western Conference consisted of the Pacific North Division, the Pacific South Division and the Southwest Division. Currently the Western Conference comprises 18 teams in four divisions: Pacific North, Pacific South, Rocky Mountain and Southwest.
