NOTE: We're the lame students of UTM who can't even write a simple article with proper English. What follows is a caption of what we think is the greatest Taekwon-Do club ever on a global scale. What that means is, we're convinced that other TKD clubs / schools suck. We at the UTM however, are the best.

The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Taekwon-Do Club(UTM ITF TKD) is an one of official branch of the International Taekwon-Do Federation of Malaysia. For more information on us please visit our website (Http://www.tkdutm.cjb.net). Our Dojang is located in the KTHO (Monday and Friday) and KTDI (Wednesday)

We have been a part of the University Technology Malaysia for over ten years. Our instructor is Sir Jaysuman and Miss Suzanna, his teachings and enthusiasm continue to inspire many of the people still training with us today, he also passed on the reins to Mr. Fauzi and Mr. Hidayat after a small period of transition.

Mr. Jaysuman became the Head Instructor in 2007 and continues to run the club to this day. The assistance of an excellent team of Black Belts contributes to the smooth running of the Dojang and this has enabled the club to grow to its present size of over 70 registered members.

At UTM Taekwon-Do we pride ourselves on abiding by the five tenets of Taekwon-Do:

Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit

It is through these tenets that the club has grown to be an environment of high expectation, achievement and motivation. This has translated into many successes over the years by the club and its members. Taekwon-Do was named on 11th April 1955. This is not to say that Korean Martial Arts did not exist before then, but that was the year in which the name was put forward.
