Sunwill
SunWiLL is a Russian band that plays modern electronic pop-music with elements of dubstep and shows with live INSTRUMENTS in pop-rock style.
History
The band formed officially on July 4, 2012 with the release of their first joint composition, the “Burn Your Love” EP. After that the band began to reach fame, success and acknowledgement in Russia and abroad.
On September 20, 2012 SunWiLL played a concert with worldwide known pop-band Hurts in Crystal Нall club in Novosibirsk. The band took the second place at the music festival Чистая капля held in Tomsk. On December, 26 the song "The Highlights" was included in the collection Record 2.0 that was released in Hollywood by Honoured Artist and Cultural Figure of the Russian Federation Yuri Chernavsky. The goal of this collection is to promote artists.
The band was a real breakthrough on one of the world’s biggest music websites – Jamendo. During the first week the band got 36 thousand plays and grew to more than one hundred thousand.
Listener interest in SunWiLL led to active promotion on YouTube where people all over the world began to add the music to their own videos. The single "Wonder doll" was chosen for the soundtrack in the bikini video contest "Team-Andro" which was held in Germany in 2012.
In 2013 the band took part in the international rock-music contest Hard Rock Rising, which is held annually around the world by Hard Rock Cafe. The group won at the Russian stage and represented Russia at the international challenge.
According to worldwide voting, the band took second place and by the Hard Rock Cafe International council of experts decision, became one of the three winners. In October 2013 the band gets on the list of popular Indie Pop artists on VK, one of the biggest social network services in Europe. On November 4 the Italian hardcore Dj Amnesys released a remix on the song Burn Your Love.
